Custom Claude connectors
Custom Claude connectors for the systems your business actually runs.
The Claude directory covers the popular SaaS apps. Your ERP, your database, your internal API, and the spreadsheet that runs operations usually have no connector at all. We build one, host it, and roll it out to your Claude Team or Enterprise workspace.
What you get
- A remote MCP server on a stable HTTPS endpoint, ready to add in Claude
- OAuth sign-in so every user connects with their own permissions
- Tools designed around the questions your team asks, read-only by default
- Server instructions and tool descriptions tuned so Claude picks the right tool
- Rollout to your Claude Team or Enterprise workspace, with a short guide for users
- Logging, rate limits, and alerts so you can see what the connector is doing
What is a custom Claude connector?
A custom Claude connector is a remote MCP (Model Context Protocol) server that Claude reaches over HTTPS. It publishes a small set of tools, such as look up a customer, pull an invoice, or search a contract folder, and Claude calls those tools when a question needs them.
Claude connects to custom connectors from Anthropic's cloud, not from your laptop, so the server needs a stable public HTTPS endpoint and real authentication. On Team and Enterprise plans an owner adds the connector once in Organization settings, then each person signs in with their own account, so Claude only sees what that person is allowed to see.
Building the connector is the easy part. The work that decides whether it is useful is choosing the right tools, writing descriptions Claude picks correctly, keeping answers small enough to fit the context window, and making sure nobody can reach data they should not.
Where it pays off
Your ERP or accounting system
Ask Claude for open invoices over 60 days, a vendor's payment history, or the variance behind a budget line, and get figures pulled live from the system of record rather than a stale export.
A private database or data warehouse
Give Claude a governed, read-only view of the tables that matter, with query time limits and row caps, instead of handing out database credentials.
Internal APIs and line-of-business apps
Wrap the API your developers already built so sales, support, and operations can use it in plain language without a new dashboard.
Document stores with real permissions
Search SharePoint, Box, or a file share by keyword and return the document name and link, limited to the folders each person can already open.
How we build it
Scope the questions
We start from ten or twenty real questions your team wants Claude to answer and the systems that hold the answers. That list decides the tools, not the other way round.
Design a narrow tool surface
Each tool does one job with a strict input schema, clear read or write labeling, and bounded results. Fewer, sharper tools beat a mirror of every API endpoint.
Build, secure, and test
We build the server on the official MCP SDK, add OAuth and server-side authorization, and test it against real questions, including the ones it must refuse.
Roll out and support
We deploy, add the connector to your workspace, walk your team through it, and keep it running as Claude, the protocol, and your systems change.
Directory connector, no-code bridge, or custom connector
Use the directory when it covers your app. A custom build earns its cost when the system is private, the permissions are strict, or the answers need your business logic.
| Criterion | Directory connector | No-code MCP bridge | Custom connector from Prestyj |
|---|---|---|---|
| Works with private or in-house systems | Rarely | If the system has a usable API | Yes |
| Tools shaped around your questions | Vendor's choice | Mirrors the API | Designed per workflow |
| Per-user permissions | Vendor dependent | Often one shared key | OAuth per user, enforced server-side |
| Business rules in answers | No | No | Yes, in code and tests |
| Who maintains it | The vendor | You | Prestyj, under a support plan |

Portfolio data connector for an investment firm
Yardi via Power BI · Monday.com · SharePoint
A remote, read-only MCP server that answers portfolio questions from evidence-backed records across three source systems.
- Streamable HTTP endpoint with OAuth protected-resource metadata and a delegated, API-scoped token per user
- Denied data is reported as withheld, never guessed or filled from another source
- Conflicting sources are shown side by side with their evidence instead of being averaged
- Server instructions kept under the 2,048 character limit Claude Code applies, enforced by a test
Connect-once business memory over MCP
Monday.com · Yardi · SharePoint · Postgres
Syncs a company's apps into typed facts in Postgres once, then hands them to any AI client over MCP.
- Six tools: schema, brief, read-only SQL with a five second cap, document search, open conflicts, and resolve conflict
- When sources disagree, a person answers once and the answer becomes a rule
- Works in Claude Desktop, Claude Code, and any other MCP host
Governed context server for a research platform
Versioned context API · Webhooks
A stdio MCP server with 24 workflow-specific tools that never sees a database URL or tenant ID.
- The API key resolves the tenant; caller-supplied tenant or access fields are rejected before execution
- Every tool enforces a scope plus result, time, output-token, and cost ceilings
- Read-only by default; writes need a separate switch, explicit confirmation, and an idempotency key
- A tool-selection benchmark checks that the model picks the right tool for each question
Multi-tenant MCP for isolated customer deployments
Per-customer deployment · Per-customer database
One codebase deployed separately for each customer, with an MCP endpoint whose tool catalog comes from that customer's configuration.
- OAuth token introspection with a dedicated read scope
- Per-token rate limits and bounded request sizes
- No customer data or secrets in the shared code or deployment packs
